KNOWLEDGE OPERATIONS SINCE 1999

The knowledge your systems need was never written down

Most of what an organisation knows lives in people, not in documents. That was survivable until you asked a machine to use it. We find that knowledge, structure it, and keep it current, so your teams and your systems are working from the same source.

27 YEARS IN OPERATION
100+ CLIENTS WORLDWIDE
20+ COUNTRIES SERVED
4 SPECIALIST SECTORS

The gap nobody planned for

Three things tend to be true at once

01

The knowledge exists, but not in writing.

Your most reliable process runs because one person remembers how it works. When they are on leave, the process is on leave.

02

The documentation exists, but not in shape.

Years of accumulated pages, written by different people to different standards, in four systems. A person can just about navigate it. A retrieval system cannot.

03

The AI project stalled, and nobody said why.

The pilot returned confident answers drawn from a superseded manual. So the rollout quietly paused. The model was never the problem.

HOW WE WORK

Three ways to engage

Most clients start with an audit and move to a managed retainer. Some need a specific problem solved once. Some need people embedded in their team by the end of the month.

MANAGED KNOWLEDGE OPERATIONS

We take ownership of your documentation as a running function.

Your knowledge base has a named Knowledge Architect, an agreed standard, a review cycle and a monthly report. Content stays current through release cycles because keeping it current is the contract, not a project.

Fixed monthly fee. Twelve-month term. Scoped from the audit.
Best for

Teams shipping continuously who have stopped being able to keep up.

KNOWLEDGE ENGINEERING

A defined problem with a defined end.

Restructuring a knowledge base so retrieval works. Migrating between platforms without losing history. Capturing what a retiring specialist knows before they go. Rebuilding an API reference that developers stopped trusting.

Fixed price. Against a written scope.
Best for

One thing that is blocking several others.

EMBEDDED SPECIALISTS

Knowledge Architects and Knowledge Engineers working inside your team.

On your tools, in your standups. Twenty-seven years of hiring in this discipline means we can usually place someone who has already done your particular version of the job.

Monthly rate. Scale up or down with notice.
Best for

A launch, a compliance deadline, or cover for a departure.

THE PLATFORM

FlowCapture

Getting knowledge out of people is the hard part. FlowCapture is how we do it at pace: structured capture sessions that turn what a specialist knows into content that holds its shape, and a pipeline that keeps that content current as the product moves underneath it.

It is how we can run a documentation function at a fixed fee. Clients see the output. We run the machinery.

Delivery

Twenty countries, one standard

Bárd was founded in the Gaeltacht of West Cork in 1999 and has been distributed since long before that was ordinary. Today our Knowledge Architects work across twenty countries and every major time zone, to one editorial standard and one review process.

That matters more than it used to. A knowledge base assembled by twelve people to twelve standards reads fine to a human and fails a retrieval system. Consistency stopped being a matter of taste.

Start with an audit

Two weeks. We read what you have, interview the people who hold what you do not, and give you a written assessment of where your knowledge actually sits.

01

A map of what is documented, what is out of date, and what exists only in people.

02

An assessment of whether your content can support retrieval, with the specific failures named.

03

A prioritised remediation plan with effort estimated.

04

A fixed monthly figure to run it, if you want us to.
